Market Street Park

Market Street Park The City of Auburn recently redesigned three of its downtown parks and public spaces; Market Street Park overlooks Owasco River and hosts summer concerts and community festivals; Exchange Street boasts numerous public art installations near the entrance of Auburn Public Theater; and the State Street “creative corridor” will soon be the home of the Musical Theater Festival.

Veteran’s Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park

Veteran’s Memorial Park, dedicated in the summer of ’09, was created in honor of Cayuga County war veterans who served our country from 1775 on. There are WWI and WWII monuments, and a Korean War monument, plus memorial paths, gardens and pavers. The Park is a project of the Korean War Veterans Association’s Cayuga County Chapter 296, Inc., and is located at 170 Genesee Street next to the County Office Building.

Hoopes Park

Hoopes Park Since the early 1900s Hoopes Park has hosted community events ranging from summer concerts and outdoor movies, to art & antique shows. On any day, rain, shine and even snow, you can take a stroll around the picturesque pond, feed the ducks, take a family photo, or just sit quietly and read a book. The park has become a favored destination for weddings May through October.

The Auburn Beautification Commission has been raising funds and working hard on many projects in Auburn. At Hoopes Park work is being done to replicate planting beds throughout the park, using plans drawn in 1931. From the pond, to the gazebo, gardens and the clubhouse - this park is a great example of what citizens can do working together. Picture perfect Hoopes Park awaits visitors and residents traveling east into Auburn. Located at 100 South Herman Avenue, it is one of central New York’s most attractive city parks.

Emerson Park is located on the north shore of beautiful Owasco Lake, on Route 38A just outside Auburn.
